Blessings in a Basket just won our first Blog Award! That is very exciting...and crazy because I don't even know how people are finding us...but YAY us!!
Because we were given a Stylish Blogger Award, I get to do four fun things...
First, thank and link back to the person who awarded you this award.
I want to thank Frolicking Night Owl for giving us this award...she actually doens't know this but I read her blog all the time. She shares incredible adoption stories about her family and she is such an incredible person! We love the adoptive families and she is a great example!! You need to go read about her adoption stories here. Thank you again from all of us at BIB...we are honored!!!
Second, share seven things about myself (this is about me, Ashley..not BIB).
1. I am obsessed with TV series on DVD. I don't watch TV very often but I have shows that I love but I refuse to watch them until I can order them on DVD and own the complete series. So, here is what I own now...Gilmore Girls (all time favorite show), Dawson's Creek (thats right peeps, we love the creek), Grey's Anatomy, Sex and the City (second all time fave show...I covet everything about NY), Sports Night, Friends, Ghost Whisperer (wish I was Melinda Gordon), and working on Scrubs.

2. I am an ice eater! I can't help it..it is horrible but I have 7-10 cups of ice with milk a day! It is a nervous twitch kind of thing. I drink about 3 gallons of milk a week..by myself..
3. I LOVE New York. I have a serious love affair with the city. I love everything about NY...the people, the buildings, the dirty streets, the smell, the fashion, broadway...everything!!! The DREAM...to have a place in the city!
4. I am a die hard college football fan! I am glued to the tv during CFS and have a goal to get my picture taken at every college football stadium in the country..you can read about my journey here.
5. I love to travel...take road trips in the car, fly, stay in hotels, eat on the road, meet new people...all of it! I would love to travel all over the world...hopefully we are on our way.
6. FAMILY IS EVERYTHING!!!!
7. I read in the bathtub. I am learning to love to read. I never used to and then my mom and sister starting picking my books for me and I love it...I don't have much down time during the day except when my daughter is taking a nap..so I run a hot bath and read for 2 hours...
Third, award 15 recently discovered great bloggers. This is probably the best part about getting the award; sharing it with others! It’s my pleasure to give a “Stylish Blogger Award” to the following amazing blogs (in no particular order):
Nie Nie
(ok, I only did 10 and they are mostly our Big Tough Girls BUT I think they are amazing!)
Fourth, let these bloggers know that they have won the award! Here I am...letting you know!
Thanks again...we are excited about this award!!!
Just wanted to say thanks SO much for the award, and for pointing me to this blog, which I look forward to following from now on. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine the strength it takes to be a birthmom, but it is an amazing strength indeed! :)
