Faith, Hope and Charity

We are wishing you all a very happy holiday season, safe travels, and all the wonderful blessings you deserve!
Several years ago I found myself pregnant and made the decision to give my baby up for adoption. It's been a tough journey, but with lots of love, support and hard work I am finally at a place in my life to reach out and help women all over the country who have gone through, are going through now, or who may go through the same experience I have. I have founded a non-profit organization titled, "Blessings in a Basket". The main focus for the organization is to be a safe haven, a place of comfort, and a reaching arm of love and support for women who are struggling to work through the mental and emotional challenges that come with giving up their own flesh and blood to another family to raise and care for. Our initial focus is to build gift baskets and have them delivered to birth moms all over the country. These baskets include personalized gifts of hope, peace and love that will help bring a glimmer of light in some of their darkest moments. A custom made watch - a representation that time will heal all. A custom made necklace with their child's birthday on it. A journal to write your thoughts and your story, and many more intimate keepsakes for the birth mom to hold and cherish. The institution of adoption is an amazing journey for both parties. The new family leaves the hospital with a new child, while the birth mom is left with nothing but guilt, sadness, insecurity, and doubt...Our organization is a beautiful way of leaving the birth mom with some sense of motivation to get up, start life over again, and reach out and help others along the way.
My Board and I have committed to raise $500.00 for the month of December. We are reaching out to all of our loved ones for support through the holiday season. Any donation amount helps and we would be honored to have you join us in our journey.

Remember that you can purchase one of our Big Tough Girl shirts as your donation.

We love you all and may God bless you this holiday season,

Ashley and the Board of BIB
